We began our epic retirement / national park tour by heading to home town Sioux Falls and then to Pierre SD. We had a nice dinner with Doug's sister LaVonne and nieces Angie and Lori and her boyfriend Justin. First time eating at Turks and Caicos. Great choice Lori and was nice too see all!
We then headed to see Doug's brother Dan and wife Mary Lou. They have a fantastic spot with a beautiful view of a bay off the Oahe Dam. For some reason, didn't think of getting the camera out. Not sure what was up with that! We enjoyed a great smoked ribeye dinner (prepared on their Green Mountain Pellet Grill) and some homemade Sour Creme Raisin pie. Cindy has been talking non stop about how nice it would be to have a Green Mountain Pellet Grill ever since we left . . . or at least that's what Doug thinks he's been hearing!
