Grand Tetons

The Tetons were for sure grand! We stayed in Victor Idaho and drove through a pass with 10% grades. Was glad to have pulled our car to navigate the pass and a 6 speed manual transmission is perfect up and down the grades! We had one full day to enjoy the area and made the most of it with a nice drive and two hikes in the Grand Teton National Park. We didn't see as much wildlife, but a highlight was a quick slow down for a large black bear that crossed right in front of us. Unfortunately the cell phone snap didn't make the gallery qualification, but it really happened! The lakes are very clear and cold! We concluded the evening with a nice dinner at the Local Restaurant in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It really is called that . . . and the food was amazing!
